The Role:

The department role is to coordinate, develop, and execute all client/sponsor contracts and change orders for newly awarded and on-going projects at ICON Clinical Research.

Based in Sofia, hybrid - 60% office, 40% home.

Job Responsibilities:

• Undertake risk assessment of new clients; perform searches and due diligence; undertake fraud and risk analytics on new clients and prospective clients; undertake searches on prospective clients and current clients in relation to their officers.

• Ensure ICON is in compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) obligations under the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 (as amended).

• Provide project/financial analysis on the project budget. Prepare reports for Revenue/Treasury and ICON project management team.

• Develop cash neutral payment schedules as required.

• Develop complicated budgets. Explain the costing process to someone without a financial background so that full financial position can be analysed prior to contract commitment.

• Provide the relevant information required for negotiations and discussions with clients regarding cost proposals/change orders/contracts to the Contract Manager, the respective Sales personnel, and project teams.

• Lead and now the negotiations and discussions internally with ICON Finance, the Sales Team, and liais with their respective Contracts Manager, as necessary, to determine the appropriate terms (inclusive of Start-up Agreements) and change orders.

• Coordinate, develop, and execute all client/sponsor contracts and change orders for newly awarded and on-going projects at ICON.

• Apply ICON's costing tools, the client's budget grids and analytical tools and templates developed in the Client's Contract Services group.

• Understand reasons and challenge supporting information provided by the project team related to budget changes (timeline, specifications, tasks, hours, etc.) and that the budget changes are reasonable and justified.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree qualified.

  • 1.5 to 5 years’ experience within a similar role.

  • We will also consider applicants who have a background in Proposals, Data Management or Financial Business Partnering within the CRO industry.

  • An in-depth knowledge of the CRO industry and clinical trials.

  • The team uses excel as their costing tool, it is important that you have advanced excel skills.

  • Excellent command of English.

  • A great team player who is willing to support the team as required.

  • Brilliant communication skills with the ability to develop meaningful relationships with other teams at ICON and our clients.
